If you’re in town during the warmer months, chances are there is a festival going on during the weekend. Here are some unique Marietta staples to check out:
Marietta Square Farmers Market | Fresh produce, flowers, local goods and more, the Marietta Farmers Market is every Saturday year round from 8AM-12PM. During the warmer months, it’s also open on Sundays from 12PM-3PM.
Earl and Rachel Smith Strand Theatre | The Strand is a beautifully renovated historic Marietta square landmark. Originally built in 1935 as a movie palace, it was renovated in 2008 and continues its legacy by hosting classic films as well as concerts, live theatre, and more.
Tuesday Night Bluegrass Jam | Every Tuesday night, musicians from all around gather at the bluegrass jam hosted by the Australian Bakery. Players spill out into the sidewalk and take over most of South Park Square.

Lumiere Lounge and Piano Bar
Open Wednesday – Saturday nights, 7PM-11PM
The Strand theatre offers a unique night out with this silent film themed craft cocktail lounge with a great intimate atmosphere. On Wednesdays they host a popular stand up comedy open mic night, with rotating themed nights every Thursday like game night, artist night, music open mic, and a jazz jam. A live pianist plays every Friday and Saturday night. No cover.
Johnnie MacCracken’s Celtic Pub
The best dive you’ll find in the metro Atlanta area. With amazing food and a huge whiskey and draft selection (including bartender brewed beers), if you want to drink like a local this is where you need to be. Nationally recognized as a top Irish Pub in the country, MacCracken’s has a non-smoking section and a patio out back that’s popular all year round. No cover.

Glover Park Brewery
Steps away from the Marietta Square and nearby Meeting Park, Glover Park Brewery is the realization of a desire to create a space where folks can gather and kick back with a great selection of locally crafted beers. Located in the old Marietta Lighting building, the Taproom can be found on the terrace level just inside a dog-friendly beer garden.
